Grateful in the Chaos of Motherhood

Motherhood isn’t always Picture perfect… but gratitude changes everything.

Some days feel like a race you didn’t train for, the dishes piling, the baby crying, the older ones calling your name every two minutes.

Yet in the middle of it all, there are little sparks of joy: the jiggly laughter, sticky kisses, funny moments, warm smiles, tight hugs or just that moment when the house finally gets quiet.

I’ve learned that thankfulness doesn’t erase the tough parts, but it changes how I see them.

When I stop to thank God, even for something small, my heart softens. I breathe easier. I remember He’s right here with me.

The Bible puts it this way:

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thess. 5:18

It doesn’t say for every circumstance, but in every circumstance. That means I can still be grateful even on the messy days, because God is present in them too.

*Affirmation for Us Moms*
“Today, I choose gratitude over grumbling. God’s grace fills my heart, and His peace fills my home.”

Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of motherhood. Thank You for the daily strength to show up. Please help me to see Your blessings, even when things feel heavy. Teach me to live with gratitude, so my children will grow up seeing a thankful heart in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

So today I ask you, mama:
What are you thankful for???
